UNCSW69 in New York, 2025

The Commission is participating in the UNCSW69 in New York. 2025 is a significant year for the Commission on the status of women as it commemorates 30 years of the Beijing +30 since the first commitments were made.
Representing the Commission is the;
Chair of the Gender and Women’s Directorate, Commissioner Viwemi Chavula,
Executive Secretary, Habiba Osman,
Child Rights Director, Priscilla Thawe and
Gender Officer, Tikumbukire Chilunjira.
The Commission is part of the delegation and will contribute on various side events in areas of;
gender justice,
Women’s SRHR,
Care Economy,
Digital Technology and
Climate Justice among other critical areas in the Beijing Platform Action Agenda
